What is the Left-Female Equivalence?

The Left-Female Equivalence, or LFE, is a research programme based on a simple conception of leftism:

Leftism is the political expression of natural female interests and behaviours; conversely, natural female interests and behaviours are the individual expression of leftism.

It is this ideal conception of leftism that describes the limit towards which modern societies seem to converge. By formalising this convergence, the LFE is able to make predictions about the evolution of social-liberal democracies. Better still, it explains why the homogenisation of values and the stagnation decried by some today are, in fact, nothing other than consequences of leftization.

More generally, it is the entire modern political landscape that is reinterpreted through this ideal notion of leftism. The LFE thus functions as a classificatory theory of politics, but also, and above all, of everyday objects and practices. Thanks to the LFE, amusing claims such as “the avocado, the Spritz, and yoga are leftist” acquire a precise and, in principle, testable meaning.

The purpose of this Substack is to make this equivalence accessible without sacrificing its theoretical depth. To this end, I publish essays as well as Shorts: briefer case studies devoted to subjects that may appear trivial but are nevertheless just as important to investigate.
